About Our Coasters
Tangled Monk's coasters carry Preetie Kohli's hand-drawn linework, printed on a ceramic top and set on a natural cork base. There are ten designs, all from the Table Fragments series, each sold as a set of 2, 4 or 6, from S$25.
They are made for the table and the everyday rituals around it: morning coffee, a glass at the end of the day, guests gathered for dinner. They are also among the pieces most often given as gifts.
Ten Designs, One Botanical Thread
Each design is a different reading of leaf, bloom and branch: Unfurling Leaf, Forest Bloom, Woven Canopy, Sacred Grove, Wild Cluster, Trailing Vine, Deep Petal, Midnight Garden, Verdant Bloom and Fallen Forms. Because they share a botanical language, designs sit well together on one table.

Made From the Original Drawing
Every design begins as an original hand-drawn ink composition by Preetie in Singapore. The coasters are produced to her artwork and specification by production partners the studio works with directly: the drawing is the original, and the coaster carries a faithful reproduction of it. The artwork is. Every design begins as an original ink drawing by Preetie Kohli, which is then printed onto the ceramic. The coaster is a reproduction of that drawing, which is what makes a S$25 set possible; the one-of-a-kind originals are the wall art.
How many coasters come in a set?
Every design is available as a set of 2, 4 or 6. A set of 4 suits most dining tables; a set of 6 is the usual choice for entertaining or for a gift.
How much do the coasters cost?
S$25 for a set of 2, S$45 for a set of 4 and S$60 for a set of 6. Singapore orders above S$200 ship free on standard delivery.
Can I mix different designs in one set?
Yes. If the combination you want is not offered on the site, the studio can put it together by arrangement on WhatsApp.
Are the coasters dishwasher or microwave safe?
No. Wipe them with a soft, damp cloth after use, avoid abrasive scrubbers and harsh cleaning products, and keep them out of direct sunlight to help the colours last.
Will the coasters scratch my table?
The underside is natural cork, so it is the cork that sits against the table rather than the ceramic. As with any coaster, lift rather than drag it across a polished surface.
Do coasters make a good gift?
They are the piece people most often give: no measuring, no wall space, and packaging free of plastic. Gift wrapping is arranged on request through WhatsApp; it is not a checkout option. See the gifting range for occasions.
Do you make coasters for corporate or bulk gifting?

Can I return a coaster set?
Yes, within 15 days of receiving it, provided it is unused and in its original packaging. If a set arrives damaged, contact the studio within 48 hours of delivery with photographs. Full details are in the Returns & Refund Policy.
