Table Fragments is Tangled Monk's coaster series: pieces of Preetie Kohli's ink compositions, brought down to the scale of a table. Ten botanical designs, printed on ceramic and set on natural cork, sold in sets of 2, 4 or 6 from S$25.
It is the same hand and the same patient line as the original wall art, carried onto the tables people gather around.
Fragments of a Larger Drawing
The name describes the idea: each design is a fragment of a fuller ink composition, brought down to a 10.3cm circle. The linework draws on the Zentangle® method and the other patterns and inks Preetie works with, built stroke by stroke rather than generated or taken from a stock library.
The Ten Designs
Leaf and vine: Unfurling Leaf, Trailing Vine and Fallen Forms.
Bloom and petal: Forest Bloom, Deep Petal and Verdant Bloom.
Canopy and grove: Woven Canopy, Sacred Grove, Wild Cluster and Midnight Garden.
