Shipping & Delivery

Orders leave our hands within 2 business days of being placed. That count excludes weekends and Singapore public holidays, so an order placed late on a Friday is normally dispatched by the middle of the following week.

A commissioned piece is made for you, so the making comes first. Most bespoke artworks take between 2 and 6 weeks from brief to completion, depending on size and complexity, and we confirm the timeline with you once we understand the requirements. Once the piece is finished and framed, it is packed and shipped from our Singapore studio on the same timelines as any other order.

After dispatch, standard delivery arrives in 2 to 4 business days and express in 1 to 2, depending on courier operations and how busy the season is. Add the 2 business days of processing to work out the full time from order to doorstep.

Once an order has been processed and shipped, allow roughly 3 to 5 business days for delivery. Timelines vary by destination, and a parcel held for customs clearance can add time that is outside our control, so allow extra room if you are ordering for a particular date.

We ship from our Singapore studio to Singapore, India, Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. These are the destinations set up at checkout; if you are somewhere else, write to us at studio@tangledmonk.com and we will tell you what is possible for the piece you have in mind.

Within Singapore, standard delivery is S$7 and express is S$12. Internationally, standard delivery is £40 to the United Kingdom, ₹3,200 to India, US$60 to the United States and A$55 to Australia. The exact amount for your order, in your currency, is shown at checkout before you pay.

Within Singapore, delivery is free on orders over S$200. Below that, and for every international destination, shipping is calculated at checkout — there is no free international delivery. The free rate applies to standard delivery; express remains S$12 whatever the order value.

For orders shipped outside Singapore, the recipient is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or clearance charges, unless stated otherwise at checkout. These are set by the destination country and are not included in the shipping you pay us.

Customs clearance times sit with the authorities in the destination country, not with us, so a hold can add days to an international delivery. We will share whatever the courier tells us, and we recommend allowing extra time on any international order tied to a date.

Yes. You are welcome to collect a Singapore order from our studio at 170B Joo Chiat Road, Level 3, Singapore 427441. WhatsApp us on +65 9772 1902 to fix an appointment for pickup. Collecting in person is often the easiest option for a large framed piece.

Delivery details and tracking information are sent with your order confirmation email.

Please make sure someone is available to receive your parcel, or leave safe-drop instructions with your courier if they support it. If a delivery fails because of a wrong address, nobody being home, or building access, a re-delivery fee may apply.

Email us at studio@tangledmonk.com as soon as you can and we will change it if the parcel has not yet left us. Once an order has been dispatched the address cannot be changed, and a failed delivery caused by an incorrect address may carry a re-delivery fee.

Worth checking before it arrives. Our largest single framed works measure 78 x 62 cm, and multi-panel series are hung as several frames, so allow for the full span across the wall. Do check that your building has suitable lift access and entryway space, and tell us in advance if access is tight.

Finished pieces are packed by hand in the studio before they ship. Framed artworks and ceramic coasters are both fragile in transit and are given protective inner materials inside an outer box. Keep the outer box and the inner packaging until you are satisfied the piece has arrived intact — we need photographs of both if you ever have to make a damage claim.

Yes. Wall art arrives framed and ready to hang. Works on handmade and acid-free paper are framed behind glass; ceramic and canvas pieces are framed without glass. Inspect a piece before you mount it, because once hung it is considered used for the purposes of a return.

Open your parcel as soon as it arrives rather than letting it sit, and contact us at studio@tangledmonk.com within 48 hours of delivery. Keep all the original packaging and send us a photo of the outer packaging, a photo of the inner protective materials, and a close-up plus a wider shot of the damage. Once we confirm the fault is on our end, your shipping charges, customs duties and taxes become refundable and you will not be asked to cover return shipping.

On a return you have chosen to make, the original shipping charges, customs duties and taxes are not refunded, and you cover the cost of sending the piece back; we recommend a trackable courier given how fragile some pieces are. If the item was damaged, faulty or not what you ordered, those exclusions fall away and we cover the return shipping.
