About this series
What is a Tangled Monk series?
A group of works drawn in the same period that share a surface, a palette or an idea. They are shown together because they were made together, not because they repeat a design.
Are pieces in a series sold individually?
Yes. Each work is an original and is sold on its own. Some were drawn as a set and hang well together; each product page says so where it applies.
Are these originals or prints?
Originals. Every piece is hand-drawn in ink by Preetie Kohli in Singapore, and no two are the same.
Do they arrive framed?
Every piece arrives framed in wood and ready to hang. Works on handmade and acid-free paper are framed behind glass; ceramic and canvas pieces are framed without glass, so the surface stays visible. Framing can be customised at additional cost.
How big are the Tides & Thickets works?
Each framed artwork is 48 x 48 cm; the canvas is framed without glass.
How much do the Tides & Thickets works cost?
S$2,200 each.
How do I care for the piece?
Keep it out of direct sunlight. Paper works are sensitive to humidity and should be dusted with a soft, dry cloth; raw, unglazed ceramic should be wiped dry and never soaked; canvas should be dusted gently, without water or cleaning products.
Can something similar be commissioned?
