Midnight Paisley is a 100% silk scarf printed with an original artwork by Singapore artist Preetie Kohli. It is a 120 × 120cm square in taffeta-weave silk (34 GSM), printed on one side, with hand-rolled edges.
Begun in the sage green and blue phase that followed Preetie's Tangled Tranquility collection — a deeper ground than the others, turquoise flecking through it, drawn as Diwali approached. The paisley has always travelled: a buta in ancient Persia and India, renamed in Scotland, and still recognised wherever it lands.
Why restrict it to a single buti? Here it is drawn as many within one, in fine white linework over a midnight ground. A considered piece for gifting. Original artwork, worn.
