About New Artworks
New Artworks gathers the latest originals from Preetie Kohli's Joo Chiat studio in Singapore. When a new series is finished, it appears here first before joining the full Wall Art collection.
Now showing Tides & Thickets: two works on black cotton duck canvas, drawn only in dots and lines in fluorescent markers. Each is 48 x 48cm, framed in wood without glass, at S$2,200.
Now Showing: Tides & Thickets
Lines of Life holds butterflies moving through a thicket. In the Deep follows the tide out to the reeds and flora beneath the water. A black canvas soaks up colour and resists ordinary ink, so both were built slowly in fluorescent dual-nib markers, one dot and one line at a time, with nothing that could be softened afterwards.
How New Work Arrives
Preetie works in series, each beginning with a place, a surface or a question. The Khajuraho Series began with a 2026 journey through central India; Riverbed Echoes with mornings by the Ganges. Every new work is an original, drawn by hand and framed, and when it sells it is gone.
Sizes, Surfaces & Framing
The works currently showing share one format.
| Piece | Framed size | Surface | Framing |

New works can be seen in person at the Joo Chiat studio by appointment through WhatsApp, and a bespoke piece can be commissioned in the spirit of any series. See Shipping & Delivery and the Returns & Refund Policy.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is in New Artworks right now?
Tides & Thickets, the newest series: Lines of Life and In the Deep, two works in fluorescent markers on black canvas.
How often are new artworks added?
As each new series is finished, rather than on a fixed schedule. Each body of work takes the time its drawing takes; new pieces appear here first and then join Wall Art.
Are the new artworks originals?
Yes. Every piece is hand-drawn by Preetie Kohli and is one of a kind. A signed A7 certificate of authenticity on the back of each frame records the year, dimensions and the work's story.
What are Tides & Thickets drawn with?
Fluorescent dual-nib markers on black cotton duck canvas. A black ground resists ordinary ink, so markers that hold their brightness let the dots and lines read clearly.
What size are the new works?
Both Tides & Thickets works are 48 x 48cm framed.
How much do the new works cost?
S$2,200 each. Across the full wall art range, originals run from S$295 to S$5,920.
Do new works arrive framed and ready to hang?
Yes. Each arrives framed in wood with a centre-slot hanger that fits a single nail, screw or picture hook. Canvas works have no glass, so the surface stays visible.
How do I care for a canvas work?
Dust lightly with a soft, dry brush or cloth, keep water and cleaning products away from the surface, and hang it out of direct sun.
Can I see a new work in person before buying?
Yes. The studio at 170B Joo Chiat Road, Level 3, welcomes visits by appointment through WhatsApp, and there is no expectation to buy.
Can I commission a piece in the style of a new series?
Yes, through the Bespoke page. A commission is drawn by hand to your brief, from S$500, and most take two to six weeks.
