Where to find original ink-on-ceramic art in Singapore

Hand-drawn ink on unglazed ceramic is not a common thing to buy in Singapore. Most ceramic wall art here is glazed, printed or both. Tangled Monk draws it by hand at a studio at 170B Joo Chiat Road, Level 3, Singapore 427441, and sells the 18 pieces directly.
What makes it unusual
Two things. The clay is raw rather than glazed, so the ink behaves differently and the surface has some tooth to it. And the drawing is Zentangle — a structured, repetitive line method, done freehand — rather than a pattern reproduced onto a tile. Preetie Kohli is a Certified Zentangle Teacher, which is a specific qualification rather than a description, and she has drawn this range since founding the studio in 2025.
What to look at first
A Language of Blue is the obvious starting point: five medallions, one format, S$295 each. If you want something with more presence, the ceramic panels run to 51 x 27 cm and 67 x 26 cm, at S$1,450 and S$2,130.
How to see it
The studio is in Joo Chiat and visits are by appointment. Everything is also available online, and every piece is framed before it ships.
If nothing fits the wall
A commission starts at S$500 and takes two to six weeks, beginning with a conversation about the space rather than a catalogue.
