Handmade Ceramic Wall Art in Singapore
Preetie Kohli, a Certified Zentangle® Teacher, draws original ink on raw ceramic at a studio in Joo Chiat, Singapore. Eighteen of the forty-eight wall pieces are ceramic, from S$295 to S$2,130, and no two are ever the same drawing.
The clay is left unglazed. That is the decision everything else follows from: an unglazed surface is porous, so it takes ink the way paper does rather than repelling it the way a fired tile would, and the line sinks slightly instead of sitting on top. It is also why a ceramic piece wants a dry cloth and never a damp one.

The Ethereal Quartet hung as a two-by-two block with a 3 cm gap occupies 59 cm square; in a single row, 121 cm.
Tangled Blessings — ten devotional works from S$450 to S$1,650, the best known being The Trikaal Ganesha.
The rest of the range
Ceramics is one of the three primary mediums we use to create our handmade artworks. Twenty-five works are on handmade and acid-free paper, starting from S$650. Four artworks are on canvas, starting from S$3,280, and those are the largest artwork the studio makes.
Preetie Kohli, who draws all of it, is a Certified Zentangle® Teacher. She came to the method in 2020 after a career in finance and has drawn most days since. If you want something made for a particular wall, a commission starts at S$500 and takes two to six weeks.
